Dental-Expo 2021

From 27 to 30 September in Moscow at the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Center The 50th Moscow International Dental Forum and Exhibition Dental-Expo 2021 was successfully held. Four autumn days flew by quickly and left the most positive feedback from the participants. The largest dental exhibition of the year delighted the guests of the forum with bright stands, a scattering of new products and a rich educational program. Specialists from Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Ukraine, Armenia, Tajikistan and Georgia took part in the forum.

Statistics showed an increase in the number of new contacts; among the visitors of the exhibition, the number of owners and managers of dental companies and clinics increased by a third. All the participants of the event noted the confident working spirit of our dentists.

On September 27, within the framework of the forum, the XLV All-Russian scientific and practical conference of the Russian Dental Association (RDA) "Dentistry of the XXI century" was held. At the opening of the conference, in his welcoming address, RDA President D.A. Trunin congratulated all those present on the long-awaited opening of the 50th Moscow International Dental Forum.

The head of Department of Clinical Dentistry and Vice-Rector for Research at Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry, Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation Natella Krikheli, the head of the Department of Operative Surgery and Topographic Anatomy at Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry, Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Eric Prazdnikov, General Director of the DENTALEXPO Exhibition Company Ilya Brodetsky, Head of the Professional Division of Colgate Russia and a long-term partner of RDA Alexey Kulusov, Development Director of Ivoclar Vivadent in Russia Peter Dukart also greeted the participants of the Conference.

Upon completion of the opening of the RDA Conference, the opening ceremony of the 50th Moscow International Dental Forum and Exhibition "Dental-Expo 2021" was successfully held, at which welcoming remarks were made by: I. Brodetsky, D. Trunin, N. Krikheli, President of the Russian Dental Industry Association D. Agaev and General Director of Coral O. Buglaev.

The main event of the second day of the Forum was the XVII Congress of the Dental Association of Russia, at which the election of the RDA governing bodies in a new composition took place, namely the election of the President-elect for 2021-2024. R. Saleev, Member of the RDA Council, Chief Physician of Dental Clinic No. 5, Kazan, Dean of Dentistry faculty at Kazan Medical State University won the elections.

Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Chief Dentist of Ministry of Health, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and head of Department of Surgical Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery at St. Petersburg State Medical University Andrey Yaremenko assumed the post of the President of RDA. Dmitry Trunin was elected Honorary President of RDA.

The Management Board, consisting of 13 members was formed: A. Yaremenko, D. Trunin, R. Saleev, L. Dubova, N. Kuznetsova, I. Kuzmina, F. Losev , L. Luchsheva, V. Nikolsky, L. Orekhova, V. Olesova, A. Portnyagin A., and D. Mikhalchenko. A. Babikov was elected as the new chairman of the Control and Auditing Commission.

At the end of the second day of the Forum, the Certificates of the "Mark of Approval of the Dental Association of Russia" ("RDA Approved") to 7 products of 5 companies that passed the expert assessment of the Russian Dental Association for quality of the products.

The demand for education has grown this year. Before the start of the forum, all tickets for educational symposia and workshops were sold out. Lectures and master classes held at the exhibition stands were extremely popular. Within 4 days, more than 300 lectures, master classes and presentations were held at the stands of the participants. The most attended events were held by Kraftway, S.T.I. Dent, Mydent, Arkom and Dental Guru.

By tradition, two major congresses were held before the opening of the forum:

• September 25-26, "REPDC'2021", the main event in the country's pediatric dentistry;
• September 26, Congress "XII National Festival of Implantology".

On September 27-29, 10 RDA training events in various areas of dentistry were held in the Crocus Expo conference halls.

At the exhibition, the participating companies presented more than 50 new products, in particular:

• Intraoral camera "Endohub" of the Moscow startup Intechdent;
• premium turbine "Tornado" from Bien Air;
• Intelligent toothbrush "Philips Sonicare 9900 Prestige" with a universal attachment and new SenselIQ technology;
• Piezosurgery device "Piezotome Cube" from Acteon;
• Axeos system from Dentsply Sirona;Corega tablets for cleaning mouth guards and retainers from GlaxoSmithKline.
