Yekaterinburg is the administrative center of the Sverdlovsk Region and the fourth-largest city in Russia. It is informally called the capital of the Urals. Yekaterinburg was founded by decree of Emperor Peter the Great as a factory fortress in 1723, during the period of industrial development of the Urals and Siberia. The factory fortress was named Yekaterinburg in honor of the patron saint of mining, Saint Catherine the Great Martyr, and Empress Catherine I. From 1924 to 1991, the city was known as Sverdlovsk. Yekaterinburg, like other large cities, has a large number of dental clinics, creating intense competition for clients. The market is fragmented, represented by numerous small and medium-sized players.
