Samara was founded in 1586 as a guard fortress on the Volga River. From 1935 to 1991, the city was known as Kuybyshev, and after the collapse of the USSR, it reverted to its historical name. Samara is known as a major industrial, space, and cultural center of Russia. The dental industry in Samara is competitive and rapidly growing, as evidenced by the growing revenue of leading clinics and the large number of private facilities. The market is characterized by both large chains and multidisciplinary centers, and competition drives clinics to improve their services and implement new technologies, as evidenced by the participation of executives in specialized conferences.
